2017 Junior Sailing Program
Dear Parents and Sailors,
At the Shrewsbury Sailing & Yacht Club we pride ourselves on quality sailing instruction. For over fifty years, we have been teaching children to enjoy this lifelong sport. Our goal is to teach your beginner sailor the fundamentals of sailing and to have an enjoyable experience for the summer. At the same time, those with more experience can benefit from our extremely experienced staff. If your child has never sailed before, we will make their first experience enjoyable and safe. If your child is a competitive racing sailor, we will challenge them to improve. If your child is somewhere in between, we have a place for them. SSYC offers classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced sailors. Boats used in our program include Optimists, 420s, FJs, N-10s and Lasers.
SSYC's Junior Program is run by volunteers and the Junior Program is dependent on the efforts of our parent volunteers. If you have any interest in helping, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank You.
